Teledentistry refers to the use of telehealth systems and methodologies in dentistry. Telehealth refers to a broad variety of technologies and tactics to deliver virtual medical, health, and education services.
Teledentistry can include patient care and education delivered by a two-way interaction between a patient and a Dentist. We are able to use Skype, Google Hangout, Zoom or Apple Facetime to chat with you about your symptoms before bringing you into the office for an exam.
During these video calls, the Dentist is able to prescribe necessary medicine, refer you to a Specialist, or schedule you for an in-office exam.
